New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP

Established by the State Board of Education in 1996, the Vermont Common Assessment System (CAS) evaluates student performance in the state’s schools, based on Vermont’s Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities.

The New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) mathematics, reading and writing assessments are administered in grades 3-8 and 11 each October.

The NECAP science assessment is administered to all students in grades 4, 8 and 11 each year in May, beginning in 2008.

The following graphics represent the performance of Lamoille North elementary, middle and high school students on the NECAP assessments. Statewide results are also provided.
